core areas of operation are the Middle East, Africa, and the Indian-Subcontinent
- areas in which GCL has a long history. GCL has extensive experience in the
multi-modal carriage of humanitarian relief cargo under difficult circumstances
and in regions with little or no logistical infrastructure. In November 2001,
GCL was selected by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)
and the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) for carriage of the first
relief shipment of humanitarian aid for the people of Afghanistan.
